The cover should tell you everything you need to know. The primary emphasis of the Eat to Live Diet is to consume more nutrient rich vegetables while avoiding processed foods including white carbs (Bread, Pasta, faux-whole grain labeled foods). The cover has pics of pizza and pasta. The author seems like she gets what Dr. Fuhrman wrote in his book but the execution of the recipes themselves show that she does not. The recipes are an abysmal failure and the book itself is riddled with errors and type-o's. This book is a sham and a misuse of the Live To Eat Diet.Read Dr. Fuhrman's book and judge for yourself but I would not advise buying this book.
Most of the recipes DO NOT go with the Eat To Live diet & not put together in a professional manner! It is one of the biggest wastes of money I have ever purchased/ Dr. Fuhrman should sue her over the use of his title .
I have never seen a cookbook without pictures,how many servings it makes per recipe,or in a diet cookbook,nutritional information;until now.I don't like the use of the word 'would'.Example,The author lists the ingredients,then writes,"You would also need a blender". The correct form is WILL need.
I am in publishing and am apallled that anyone involved in the true ( and execellent) Joel Furman " eat to Live brand" would allow this sub branded " book" to exist.Its more of a magazine with huge type to fill up the pages and poor recipes _ Ive made1,000s cookbooks in my career and would be ashamed to have produced some thing this thin and weak- Piggy backing on such a good brand as the Furman team seems odd to me did they approve of this? The use of type, and colors is a direct extension of his excellent book if he didnt approve of this (sub) branded magazine he should get it taken down for infringement of copyright and " Passing Off" all those who bough eat to live will feel swindled and rightly so.terrible purchase - can I return it?
This cookbook is extremely basic and the 70 pages aren't even numbered. Please DO NOT purchase. One of the recipes for a strawberry banana smoothie literally said to add strawberry and banana to the blender with ice and water. Really??? My 4 year old could write that. If you've purchased the Eat to live book by Dr. Furhman stick to that.
This is not the Eat to Live diet. I feel duped.
Seems rather hastily published: the Table of Contents lists page numbers, but there are no page numbers in the rest of the book; there is reference in the text to chapters, but there are no chapters; title page dos not have the typical publishing info on it. It does not match the quality of publication of Dr Fuhrman's books. Have not tried the recipes yet.
No page numbers. Hard to read and use. Cannot easily find a specific recipe. Recipes were not well organized or easy to follow.
