Peter Ward has an interesting alternative theory but global warming science has turned political so reasoned debate is difficult. Given the insistence by greenhouse gas global warming believers, we might get our answer in the next 10 - 20 years, if this theory is correct. If global warming stops or reverses as Dr. Ward predicts, then it will be hard to link C02 to global warming. Of course with so much political capital invested, mainly by Democrats, there is plenty of motivation to alter the stats, if they do not agree.I do think the book needs more editing to reduce repetition.
Dr Peter Langdon Ward makes a solid case that human caused CO2 emissions are not the major cause of recent global warming. It's the O3 not the CO2. The major point made by this book is that "the science is not settled". Terry Dean Boucher, MSEE

Glad someone was investigating the role of volcanoes and eruptions as it relates to global warming. The more perspectives on the issue the better.
Dr. Ward's argument is clear and simple. The link to effusive volcanism makes a lot of sense. I had always wondered about the insistence of so many scientists, saying that they all agreed on carbon dioxide being the cause of global warming. have they proved it, other than just saying there is a correlation? I am reminded of my favorite "statistic", that eating mashed potatoes causes cancer - after all, just about all of the people who got cancer have eaten mashed potatoes - so, therefore, there must be a correlation. Probably rice should be included as a cancer cause, just going by the numbers...
This is an important book. Dr Ward makes sense out of the many inconsistences in the greenhouse gas theory. Global average temperatures stopped rising in 1998, called the warming hiatus by GHG scientist, and the GHG scientist have written many papers and proposed various theories on why this has happened, but there is no consensus on how that could happen. Greenhouse gases have continues to increase, but the temperature hasn't. Dr. Ward has compelling information that explains this and other key points dealing with atmospheric warming. More people, especially more scientist, need to read this.
