I did pass yesterday on my first try. I would say the big tests at the back did not represent what I tested on. Focus more on your glossary and terms. Don't worry about the math, seriously. I had ZERO math questions on my CA state exam, and my friend had less than 5. Again, do NOT sweat the math. Tips: Read each question 3 times before you answer it, get lots of rest before the exam. You will do just fine :)
OK, so I bought this thinking it would help me review what I've already learned from class. The information is easy to read. It's the practice quizzes and exams that get me. Some of the info asked, I have to look up online because I can't find it in the book or the info in the book says one thing but the questions require a little more understanding than what the book gives. Not to mention questions where one answer is correct, say the answer is b but c says "only b", this happens all the time in this book, then you have Togo look up why your answer is wrong when it really isn't. And the horrible spelling. Someone really needs togo through and edit this book more. Maybe refund everyone their money because it obviously wasn't written by anyone worthy of educating anyone on anything. If anything, the practice questions made everything more confusing. Think I'll be looking into a new book to study from, or maybe taking a crash course recommended by KW and has a 90% success rating.
Just down graded this to a 1, would be ZERO if they had it. So so many errors, can’t rely that the info is correct. Heck out a pic of one question Obviously “D†Is NOT the correct answer. Amazon should pull this itemGot this 10 minutes ago and already unhappy. I had a license and just need a refresher course to take the test again. The chapters contain way too much info, and the quiz at the end is only 10 questions. Cramming 18 sections into 1 chapter doesn’t serve any purpose. Already ran into grammatical errors, and some of the quiz questions are worded rather oddly. I supposedly got the “updated, corrected†version-WOW how bad was the last version??!! It would be nice if the question answers had a page number to reference for easy clarification. I’m not going to rely on this book to pass, I’ll use the “smart guide†and probably buy some extra practice exams before I take the state exam. Good luck
Format is not very good, content is not very good. It is very frustrating when you have to double check the answers as I have identified several as having the wrong answers in the answer key. I wouldn't recommend this as a resource, definitely not the sole resource.
“The California Real Estate License Preparation Guide†is definitely worth the Kindle price. It is great preparation for the test and offers a good guarantee that you will pass the exam. Key concepts, how the test is laid out and what to expect for questions, are there and are a great help. The practice tests in the back of the book are also very helpful.The book is very nicely and logically organized, but there are enough typos to be somewhat frustrating. If you can look past those, you’ve got it made in reading the book, and in passing the license exam.
I took real estate practice & principle courses awhile ago so I totally forgot about the course. My elective course was Business Law from back in college like 10 years ago! So I definitely needed refresher and this book helped me so much. Addition to this book, I did practice exam questions (bought online) and passed at the first attempt! Good luck!
Really great resource. Especially like the chapter review/quizzes so you can tell if you're retaining the material as you go through.
This book really helped me get through the exam. The material is formatted and organized in a clear way which helped me reference back to each section when I needed to. I'm really pleased with this purchase.
