This is a marvelous book. The color mixtures are given as well as step by step instructions on how to paint the flowers. There are several to choose from. What I really enjoyed was that while there are detailed instructions, you still must create your flower on your own. The painting is totally yours. Anyone who has a garden, who loves the smell and beauty of their flowers will enjoy painting them and this book is a wonderful guide.

I'm ready to start learn how to paint a prettier flower by using Sherry Nelson's techniques! Thanks! Great book for learning flowers and help with drawing traceables.I use acrylics and I live the book.
Extremely helpful since it shows many kinds of flowers along with really good descriptions of how each flower is shaped. This is especially helpful with regards to understanding how values create the shapes. Both the colors and brush strokes for each flower is discussed!
