So much logic here about what is happening to Mother Earth. I’ve found the whole story laid out in plain English is in an eloquent new book by Jennifer & Adams, The Uninhabitable Earth. Overall, this truly extraordinary book for me.

This is not a comfortable and easy book. It's scary, full of darkness and - unfortunately - realistic forecasts of things to come.It should be read everywhere to raise concern and to make people take a stand.I don't think a review is enough to describe how much this book affected me, it would take pages.A very good book, it will make you think and may be act.

Brent Runyon a 14 year old boy in high school is gifted, but he doesn’t want to be. He wants to be normal or cool. He isn’t very compatible with the kids in his gifted class. He talks his parents into letting him go to a normal class. But things aren’t going great for him,”Now I’m getting F’s in a couple of classes.”(8). He is taunted by the fact that he could just end it all especially after he sets a P.E. shirt on fire in the locker room. Brent’s mom is kind and loves her son. When Brent tried to commit suicide it was a shock to her. No one else saw it coming either. The main conflict in the story is the internal conflict although a lot of external conflict is involved. After Brent sets himself on fire trying to commit suicide he suffers 3rd degree burns to 85% of his body. The main conflict is him trying to fit back into the world and find his place. He regrets his attempt and wishes he could just undo it all, he wishes he asked his parents for help. He wants anything other than his current condition. His family is now divided because of his attempt. Ironically he can’t live with himself for what he has done to his family. I thought this was a great book and would really recommend this to teenagers with a good level of maturity. This book discuss hard topics and pulls off adding humor every so often. Overall it was an exceptional book. I think the 3 main plots in the story: Brent lighting the shirt on fire, Brent’s suicide attempt, and Brent struggling to become apart of his family again are so nerve wracking. When reading these parts of the story it really puts you on the edge of your seat. So I highly encourage you to pick up this book and give it a try you won’t regret it.

The Burn Journals is a book about a 14 year-old high school student, Brent Runyon, who suffers throughout the book after his suicide attempt. His parents are very kindhearted and supportive toward Brent as well as their other son, Craig. After almost burning the school locker room when he lit a shirt on fire, he panics that he might get expelled and drenched himself with gasoline. He lit himself on fire almost taking his life. Brent suffered 3rd degree burns on 85% of his body and was in hospital care for many months. The main conflict in the story is Brent dealing with himself and trying to fit in with the world despite his unusual disability. Every day he prays that he could go back to his previous conditions, and would do anything to redo his actions. After leaving medical care, Brent has to go through many months in rehabilitation centers and live with his unattractive skin disorder. Through his countless amount of meetings with psychiatrists, he learns more about himself and understands the true meaning of life. I really enjoyed this book, mostly because it reminds me that we should never take anything for granted. Brent describes his inability to walk and lift his arms above his shoulders. These simple tasks are very effortless but for people like Brent, it isn’t. He also describes his every day massages as, “sluggish” and, “intolerable.” He also discusses his horrid body color and how unappealing he is as a teenager. I’d really recommend this book to any young adult with a good level of maturity. It hits hard topics and also adds in humor every so often. This book is definitely in my top 10 list. I highly encourage you to pick up this book, you won’t regret it.

My name is Corina and I am 14 years old. I just finished this book for some summer reading and here is my review. I feel that “The Burn Journals” does appeal to its audience (teenagers). The book may touch on some subjects that are considered inappropriate, but mature readers will understand what the book is really about.I consider the reading level for this book to be easy. There aren’t many “big” words in this book, and it’s fairly easy to understand. It’s easy to understand since the book was written from the perspective of a teenager. I’m 14 and read at a 12th grade level, so those who read at a lower level may not find it as easy to understand as those who read at a high level.I think that the author’s purpose for writing this book was for him to say that life is precious. The book was his way of telling people not to harm themselves. He wanted for people to know his story so that they wouldn’t follow his mistake. The author wanted people to understand what he and his loved ones went through because he hurt himself.I believe this book is written for teens around the ages of 13 through 18. It would appeal to a mature group of teenagers since the subject matter in this book is serious, but the author does add some humor to lessen the subject matter. It takes a certain level of maturity for the reader to enjoy and understand this book.As a caveat for readers, this book contains swear words, religious expressions, self-harm, suicide, and some sexual content. Multiple times in the book there are parts that discuss and contain this material.I gave this book four star because of how detailed it was. I would have given it five if it weren’t so repetitive. I did however like how the author added some humor in such a serious topic. The book may have had vulgar parts in it, but I enjoyed the story.

This book was very well written. Its a real page turner. Its pretty short so I finished it pretty fast. It was a little graphic at times which I thoroughly enjoyed but some others may be a little put off by this. I mean, it is exactly that... a book about a boy who lit himself on fire. The aftermath and being able to be within his internal thoughts was the best. I couldn't help but relate to him. It was a just a bad day that went much too far. I would have rated this book five stars but... I bought this book used from Amazon... which is fine... except for the part that they thought it was okay to sell me a library book. Why on earth they had a library book for sale is just beyond me. What did they get it for cheap at a library booksale and then resell it? That's just ridiculous.

I purchased this coloring book as a gift for my 87 year old mother, who is born and raised in Japan. As I haven't colored in it, I can only say that she loves it. It provides her hours of quiet meditation (her words) and she loves her 'masterpieces' upon completion. I'm so pleased that there's coloring books for adults of different subject matters. Will definitely order more when she completes this book.

Interesting theme for this one. It was more than creative and enjoyable. Who hasn't picked up a deck of cards and looked at the Joker...Knave...Wild card? Again, creative and a distance from the norm of flowers and geometrics. Good choice.

I enjoy coloring- it's even been recommended by my Dr. for a calming distraction for pain control.The velum paper is nice- it accepts markers well. But it can smear a tad if you touch it too soon after coloring a section. I didn't like the look of crayons on the velum though. Not rich enough color saturation.Very detailed drawings. Kimono have great designs that turn out very colorful in the end. Looks great hung in windows- the translucence of the velum really makes it look like stained glass.

Don't let the suggested age for this book throw you - a person of any age would enjoy coloring these Japanese drawings. This delightful little coloring book has 16 beautiful transparent plates of geishas (reading, dancing, playing instruments, etc.) that can be colored with any medium and then placed over a lamp or window to give the illusion of stained glass. My only wish is that there were more pictures.

Good read, interesting, entertaining, well written. Saw her perform live years ago, she really put her all into it, she's had an interesting life.

After reading this book, I am an even bigger fan of Ann-Margret. I especially like the way she handled the subject of her relationship with Elvis. I have read many books about him where the women would go into unnecessary details. It felt like they were just dying to tell the world that they slept with him. But Ann-Margret held her relationship with Elvis dear and sacred to her heart. I feel that she honored and respected his memory in doing this. You are a truly classy lady, Ann-Margret!

As a Elvis fan, this book is really great and I just adore Ann’s stories about the two of them. They had such a wonderful times together.As a Ann-Margret fan, I’m in LOVE with her even more now. Her life is full of ao many joyous, surprising and difficult times. Definitely worth the purchase!!

The book is an easy read without too much financial jargon. It is for those planning for retirement in the distant future or right away and for those already retired. It is designed to help people put together the parts of a retirement plan that generate financial peace of mind for the retiree. It isn’t filled with footnotes, meaningless proofs or secrets of how to make a financial killing. It directs the retiree not only on retirement income but also on what satisfies the retiree’s spending needs. It shows how and what to save and accumulate, how to minimize losses and costs and how to make the most of what you have. It is a little like a financial version of the tortoise and the hare. I read this book after the fact of retirement and it has been a confirmation of what my wife and I have done. I believe what it has to say and even learned some things I never knew before.Doug & Bonnie Smalley

This is a great book for people who have put off planning for retirement and don't know how to start the process. It also guides you through the different types of financial planners you should be working with. I could relate to some of the examples of investment strategies that were wrong for people getting close to retirement age. I don't think you can read this book and not gain valuable knowledge about how, when and who to work with when planning for your retirement.I'm not sure who this quote came from but I think it pertains to the message in this book. " People don't plan to fail but fail to plan." If you read this book you will easily relate to some of the confusion people go through when thinking about retirement. I wish I would have read this book 10 years ago, I could have eliminated some of mistakes made in my retirement strategies.

This book is okay, but the author makes too much of a pitch for his own service for my taste.

This is a very clearly written book. It is written in simple terms so anyone can walk away from it with new financial understanding. Answers a lot of questions regarding retirement and SS info. Loved it.
